Over 1.5 billion people live with hearing loss, yet for most, a basic hearing test remains out of reach. Hearing screening is the key to early identification and timely intervention for hearing loss.
To reach people across regions, and to facilitate systematic screening by trained health workers, WHO has developed WHOears application. It is a free, tone-based hearing screening application for tablets, designed for use by trained health workers in any community or primary health care setting, WHOears brings a simple, standardized screening protocol to any quiet space with low cost equipment.
This webinar marks the global launch of WHOears. Join us to see the app in action, hear from implementers in the field, and learn how to bring community hearing screening to the people who need it most.
